For 1st quarter of current year, according to r/w and customs statisticians, the scrap collection in the Russian Federation has made about 3,8 million tons. It on 11,3 % below a corresponding indicator of last year.

Herewith the part of a steel scrap for metallurgical works for a year was reduced from 68 % to 65 %. The export part has grown from 22,7 % to 24,6 %.

The part of delivery of a steel scrap by r/w transport was reduced from 83,3 % to 81,5 %.

The main cause of decrease of a scrap collection during the current year is reduction (on 15,4 %, to 2,5 million) purchases of a steel scrap by leaders metallurgical works.
