According to Turkish Association of manufacturers of a steel, in 1st  quarter 2012 the volume of consumption of a steel scrap in the country has increased on 11,8 % , till 8,13 million ton.

The share of the import  in total amount has made 5,34 million ton (about $2,38 billion), internal deliveries - 2,79 million ton.

The volume of import of a steel scrap from the USA has increased by 25,1 % to the similar period of last year, from the EU countries - on 14,3 %. From Russia - 438 thousand ton.
